Position Announcement

UVU's Digital Transformation Division is seeking a director level individual, to help reinforce partnerships between divisions. Your role will include being the liaison between the IT and non-IT world for the divisions this position supports.

The Director of Technology Partnerships will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions and initiatives The Director will identify and develop innovative partnerships to drive technological advancement within the division and will work closely with stakeholders including leadership, faculty, students, and external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and promote a culture of innovation. The Director will lead Technology Partnership team members responsible for supporting technology initiatives across the division including product and project teams, technical product managers and owners, and other positions related to the divisional needs.

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Establishes and maintains partnerships with the Division(s) to collaboratively develop technology solutions to support the institution and division mission, including vision and strategy, road map, product ownership, project management, and demand/priority management; works closely with stakeholders including leadership, faculty, students, and external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and promote a culture of innovation.
  • Directs and leads technology initiatives that support the division's academic and administrative functions by overseeing the development and implementation, providing strategic guidance to the division's leadership team, advising on technology and innovation trends, identifying opportunities for growth and development, and developing long-term plans to support their mission.
  • Directs and supervises team members responsible for supporting technology initiatives across the division including product and project teams, technical product managers and owners, and other people from the Digital Transformation division; trains and equips team members to meet the division's digital transformation needs; responsible for hiring and performance management and participates in the development of standard team processes and procedures related to their partnership portfolio.
  • Collaborates with other Partnership directors in finding cross-institutional solutions to enterprise-wide technology needs; stays current with technology, partnership, and management trends; accepts other innovation and responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a master degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, Education Administration, Business Administration plus one year experience, OR a bachelor degree in a related field plus 3 years experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven years.
