Job Description Summary
The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for leading and assisting small and large groups of campers in a variety of activities. The activities include gallery tours, art-making projects, games, scavenger hunts, and performances during the summer camp season. Counselors help to foster a fun and positive learning environment by facilitating friendships and teamwork among campers while acting as a mentor.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead and assist small and large groups of campers in a variety of activities, including gallery tours, inquiry-based workshops, art-making projects, games, and scavenger hunts.
  • Foster a fun and positive learning environment by facilitating friendships and teamwork among campers while acting as a mentor.

Position Qualifications:
  • Enthusiasm and experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Competence in teaching and administrative work
  • Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility a must
  • Completed college degree with background in education, anthropology, archaeology, history, or art preferred but not required
  • Completed clearances preferred: Child abuse history, PA criminal record, and FBI criminal history
  • Must be available to work June 17-Aug. 16, Monday-Friday, 35-40 hours per week

$7.25 - $16.25 Hourly Rate
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
