Job Summary

The Banich Lab is hiring a 1% on-call Professional Researcher Assistant for data analysis and research participant screening. Who We Are

The Banich Lab works to better understand the neural underpinnings of executive function, those abilities that allow us to guide our behavior in a goal-oriented and purposeful manner. The techniques used in the lab include structural MRI, and functional MRI (including resting-state and task-based methods). They are used in conjunction with measures of an individual's behavior on different cognitive tasks, and if these differences relate to how individuals differ in dimensions related to psychopathology, such as depression and/or worry. In addition, we use Machine Learning techniques derived from Computer Science to aid in the analysis and interpretation of brain imaging data.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Scheduling, screening and consenting participants for experiments
  • Running participants through experimental protocols
  • Aiding in initial data curation, cleaning and analysis
  • Supervising undergraduate and other research assistants

The hiring range for this position is $30.00-$35.00 per hour.

What We Require

  • Bachelors degree, in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or another related field.
  • Experience conducting human participant research appointments and eligibility screenings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and R.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with study staff, postdoctoral researchers, undergraduates, principal investigators, and other laboratories.
