Job Description:
This position supports the Director of Operations and Administration.Payroll duties, processing payroll functions for Bargaining Unit employees within Food Services, create timesheets, input, tracking, including benefit time monitoring, processing weekly overtime reporting, while understanding all union contract guidelines. Oversight of Time Clock Plus data to support all payroll data.

Qualifications:
  • HS diploma required. Bachelors or associate degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of relevant office experience in a college or university setting.
  • Desired experience with payroll functions for a large organization or division.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge. Experience with People Soft ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Payroll duties, processing payroll functions for Bargaining Unit employees within Food Services, create timesheets, input, tracking, including benefit time monitoring, processing weekly overtime reporting, while understanding all union contract guidelines.
  • Become familiar with the job posting process for Bargaining Unit positions which may include creating the posting, preparing a list of internal applicants, assisting with scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable on employee leave status and time clock system and proper data entry to support payroll efficiency.
  • Assist Director with all personnel transactions.
  • Oversight of Time Clock Plus data to support all payroll data.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are required when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Work closely with Facilities Department during Summer Program.
  • Assist supervisors in identifying scheduling needs as well as Facilities Department in proper transactions needed to reassign and schedule staff.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Facilities Department regarding benefit time used while employees are on temporary assignments outside of Food Services.
  • Oversight of many miscellaneous personnel transactions including exempt and non exempt mileage reimbursement and safety equipment reimbursement.
  • Ensure proper reimbursement guidelines are followed and maintain historical documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned.
