Position Summary: The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.

The Instructional Developer will work directly with faculty, staff, and as part of the Coulter Faculty Commons team to provide consultations, workshops, and events that support the improvement of teaching and learning excellence in keeping with the University's mission and strategic goals. This position will also provide services to the Coulter Faculty Commons to support the CFC mission as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree required.Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution with relevant coursework preferred. A combination of coursework and experience in some or all of the following areas: Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Development, Teaching and Learning, Higher Education, Adult Education, and/or other related degree/s or coursework.Experience working with faculty within higher education; having developmental consultations with faculty; engaging in scholarship of teaching and learning and scholarship of educational development.Also preferred are the following: Demonstrated skill and experience with design and implementation of creative, effective, active online and technology-enhanced or technology-dependent instruction. Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with faculty to explore and realize their pedagogical and scholarly goals.
