8:30am -5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:
The Experiential Programs Coordinator enhances and supports student-centered experiential opportunities at the Whitman School of Management. This position assists in the planning and execution of experiential programs aligned with Whitman's mission to develop and promote student-centered programs that emphasize active discovery, building transferrable workplace knowledge and skills, developing future ready capabilities, and enhancing academic understanding.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business, education, or a related field
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in program management / coordination required.


Job Specific Qualifications:
This position requires independent judgment, initiative, exceptional organization and communication skills, strong enthusiasm for working with students, and a customer service focus across a variety of subject areas. This includes:
Strong technology experience required and proficiency in using Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community which includes students, parents, alumni, faculty and administrative staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deal with multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Proactiveness and proclivity for solving problems are desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse faculty, students, alumni, and industry partners.
  • Knowledge of experiential learning principles and practices, especially in a business school context.
  • Experience with budgets/financials.


Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate events relating to experiential programs.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of experiential programs, ensuring they align with the Whitman Experiential Programs Model and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with the director of experiential programs to assess specific learning objectives in new and existing experiential programs.
  • Facilitate student participation in experiential programs, promoting active and hands-on involvement and ensuring equitable access for all students.
  • Aid with the promotion and communications of experiential programs with students.
  • Assist in implementing a process for student reflection, self-evaluation, peer evaluation, and/or supervisor evaluation within experiential programs.
  • Assist in oversight of student employees including timecard approvals, etc.
  • Process disbursement orders, purchasing cards and orders, expense reports, vendor setup and other accounting documents as needed.
  • Plan, reserve and reconcile travel details for experiential programs.
  • Update Experiential Programs website
