Job Description:
Falk College and the School of Social Work seek to hire a faculty member to fill a position at the Associate Professor level. The faculty member is expected to conduct an active program of research and publication, including seeking external funding to support research. Teaching expectations include teaching courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate level in an area consistent with one's expertise; serving as a student academic advisor; and supporting student engagement in research. Qualifications:
A doctorate in social work or related field and M.S.W. Candidates should have a strong record of research, publication, and receipt of external funding. We seek someone whose expertise at micro, mezzo, and/or macro level will augment the areas of existing faculty expertise and with commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice in teaching and research.



Job Specific Qualifications:
Applicants must have university teaching experience with evidence of teaching effectiveness. An ideal candidate is someone committed to the Schools existing culture of inclusiveness, social justice, and collegiality, while also facilitating the professional educational development of students and the research contributions of faculty. Candidates with the communication abilities to maximize effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members are particularly qualified for this position.

This is a tenured position with an appointment at the rank of Associate. The successful candidate will be requested to participate in an expedited tenure review process.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching courses at the graduate or undergraduate level in areas of expertise; serving as an academic advisor to graduate or undergraduate students; supporting faculty and students in research activities; participating in curriculum development and maintenance; and service to the department, college, or university, and to the professional community.
