Job Summary
We're looking for someone to lead our annual giving, stewardship, and alumni engagement activities. You will be a part of a larger advancement team encompassing development and alumni relations, marketing and communications, and career and professional development. You will develop annual fund appeals, send acknowledgement letters, and plan new stewardship activities; support our Alumni Council; and provide student-centered philanthropy education and programs. You enjoy meeting new people and developing ongoing relationships with them. You are comfortable asking people to donate money to the college.

Responsibilities*
Annual Giving:
  • Analyze available data to create a comprehensive annual giving strategy
  • Write and design annual appeals for email, direct mail, social media, and phone campaigns
  • Serve as the liaison to University Annual Giving and Reporting Information Analysis teams
  • Increase student awareness and participation in philanthropy by planning activities like Giving Blueday, Hail Yeah!, new student orientation, Becoming Alumni BBQ
  • Write remarks for college leadership, including the dean, for alumni and donor-related events and programs

Stewardship:
  • Execute stewardship efforts and produce weekly acknowledgement letters for donors
  • Produce specialized stewardship materials for scholarship donors
  • Assist with stewardship strategies for high-end donors, including individualized mementos and letters
  • Update stewardship and other interactions in DART, record student scholarship information in DART

Alumni Council:
  • Provide administrative support and serve as the main contact for the Alumni Council, coordinate conference calls and biannual meetings on campus
  • Track and manage council members' philanthropic engagement
  • Work with the director of development on individualized and council-wide engagement strategies for members

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects

Desired Qualifications*
  • 2 or more years experience in development-related work
  • Familiarity with DART
