Job Description:

The College of Saint Rose invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Special Education in the Thelma P. Lally School of Education to start August 2018.

Responsibilities include 12 credits of undergraduate/graduate teaching per semester, engaging in scholarship and grant-writing, attending internal and external events applicable to the College and the candidate's academic discipline, academic advising, program assessment, curriculum development, and participation in Department, School, and College committees.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Special Education with expertise in one or more of the following: curriculum and instruction in special education, literacy and/or research methods, and experience and the ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: assessment in special education, Response to Intervention in school settings, and/or experience in teaching mathematics, technology and/or other high need content areas. Minimum three years of full time experience teaching students in Pre-K through
grade 12 classrooms also required. Candidates must be able to teach in face-to-face and online environments.
