Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director & Continuity Coordinator [ADCC] is responsible for program development, administration, management, support, and internal networking for emergency preparedness and continuity at Northeastern University. The ADCC works within the Office of Emergency Management to support efforts in identifying potential threats to normal business, academic, and research operations as well as develop plans to reduce risks identified. The ADCC consults with departments across the enterprise to assess and collect data to produce comprehensive business impact analyses, estimates of recovery time, and identify mission critical processes. The ADCC oversees the implementation and maintenance of business, academic, and research continuity plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Emergency Management or a related area and 3-5 years of commensurate experience. Extensive experience with continuity planning, crisis management, emergency preparedness, and network building is required. Strong knowledge of KulaiReady Continuity Planning software as well as experience with the entire suite of Microsoft applications (MS Office) is a plus. A strong understanding of the fundamentals of Emergency Operations Centers and the Incident Command System is needed.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organizational skills required. Must have excellent problem solving aptitude, strong customer service skills and must be able to work independently.
