Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide energetic, engaging, and contemporary instruction in Business Communication at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with the ability to teach Management and related business courses as needed. The position will emphasize the development of students' written, oral, interpersonal, presentation, and professional communication skills necessary for success in today's workplace.

The faculty member will use innovative and experiential teaching approaches that connect classroom learning with real-world business situations and promote professional and career readiness. Instruction should incorporate contemporary business practices and emerging technologies, including the appropriate use of artificial intelligence and other communication technologies. The position will also contribute to teaching in related areas such as organizational behavior, international business, leadership, professional development, and other Management disciplines based on the needs of the College.

The position includes scholarship, service, student engagement, and other responsibilities consistent with the mission of the Thomas College of Business and Economics and the expectations of the University.

Job Description:
On-campus and online delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses in Management with a primary emphasis on Business Management; scholarship in Management with a primary emphasis on Business Management service to the university, profession, and broader community; and other forms of organizational citizenship behavior for the betterment of the university and key stakeholders.

On an ongoing basis, the successful candidate must publish in discipline-appropriate peer-reviewed journals to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status and for tenure and promotion consideration. Beyond scholarship, service to the University/School/Department and the business community is valued and required. Accordingly, performance will be assessed based on teaching, research, and service quality. Rank is open and commensurate with education and experience.

Management Preference:
Higher education teaching experience, with preference for experience teaching Business Communication, Management, or related business courses. Preference for candidates who demonstrate an energetic, engaging, and contemporary teaching approach; experience with experiential and applied learning; and the ability to incorporate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, into instruction. Experience teaching in both face-to-face and online environments is preferred.
