The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Interventional Radiology. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in lymphatic interventions. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Radiology certified with CAQ and completion of fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology is required. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences, and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition, the candidate will prepare learning materials and lectures, teaching posters, and presentations for national review.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures as well as performing and/overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians. These responsibilities will include a focus on lymphatic interventions, with 50% of clinical time devoted to lymphatics. The successful candidate will also participate in the Interventional Radiology off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage.

The IR division has an active outpatient clinic and consulting service as well as an inpatient admitting service. The IR Division at Penn has considerable depth of expertise, performing more than 15,000 procedures annually. More than half of them are therapeutic, covering every aspect of the field. Penn Interventional Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
