Job Summary
The College of Engineering and Applied Science encourages applications for a Science Communication Specialist! This position helps support the development and implementation of science communication and public engagement initiatives out of the Center for STEM Learning (CSL). This role assists with developing plans, group coordination, proposal development, meeting organizing, and writing grant proposals aimed at strengthening scientific communication and outreach with public engagement, through training programs, resource collection and development, and direct outreach events.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Coordinate and facilitate science communication working group meetings among faculty, staff, and students at CU along with community partners.
- Develop meeting agendas, discussion materials, summaries, and action plans.
- Congregate and conduct assessments of science communication resources easily accessible to most scientists
- Guide working group towards a shared initiative goal by integrating various ideas in a collaborative environment to merge on a common goal
- Write up a grant proposal for a science communication and outreach initiative
- Assist with planning and implementation of science communication programming and public engagement activities
- Track project progress, ensure project is meeting tangible goals as outlined by the grant proposal integrate feedback and update project infrastructure as needed.

This is a full-time, temporary position that will be fully remote.
What We Can Offer
The hire rate for this position is $50.00 per hour.
