(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with the review of course curriculum proposals to ensure updated information matches the University's catalog and ensure the accurate implementation of curricular changes in the student information system for academic courses.
2. Coordinate and manage the development of the University's academic course schedule each term, including processing unassigned course sections and resolving booking conflicts.
3. Oversees and support all phases of the academic course scheduling process.
4. Assist with the Course Attribute Dashboard and manage the addition of course attributes in the student information system.
5. Respond promptly to assigned call tickets, emails, and phone inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Job Summary
Provides training assistance and guidance to the academic scheduling community, including department schedulers, Department Chairs and College Deans campus-wide with all aspects of the academic schedule of classes and optimization of course additions, cancellations, and adjustments in BANNER and the Event Management System. Provides systems training and support to new academic schedulers on all aspects of course scheduling. Serves as the primary scheduling coordinator for the USG Affiliates, specifically related to eCore, FinTech Academy, USG Goes Global, European Union and the Georgia Film Academy. Responsible for overseeing the processes of daily schedule edits each term. Serves as liaison to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and QEP in reference to the Course Attribute Dashboard. Responsible for testing of all technology processes during upgrades and implementation. Works together with the USG regarding technology process improvements, implementations, testing and upgrades of technology and services
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of registrar related functions at the institutional and University System of Georgia levels
2. Review and approve/deny Special Topics course requests through Curriculog platform
3. Provides systems training and support to new academic schedulers, Department Chairs or Deans in the development and production of the academic schedule of classes on all aspects of course scheduling
4. Maintain schedule of classes training manual
5. Provide approved scheduling course meeting pattern and grids
6. Directly and independently work with the scheduling community in the development and modification of course and section scheduling resources
7. Provides accurate and timely responses to department inquiries via phone, MS Teams, email, and in-person, assists with customer service at the front desk, as needed
8. Understands and maintains accurate knowledge of academic schedule related functions including but not limited to creation and adjustment of course schedules
9. Reviews and analyzes daily SAS schedule editing reports to identify, adjust and resolve schedule discrepancies
10. Review and maintain section attributes and restrictions, cross-listed course sections, credit and billing hours and instructor percentages
11. Serves as the primary scheduling coordinator for USG Affiliates: eCore, Fintech Academy, USG Goes Global, European Union and the Georgia Film Academy
12. At the request of the USG: Create, modify/cancel course schedule sections, apply all course restrictions/attributes, run INGRESS extract process, modify course section seat balancer, withdraw eMajor student requests and reinstate approved requests from the USG each term.
13. Serve as liaison to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the QEP
14. At the request of the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the QEP, review, make edits and enter approved requests into the Course Attribute Dashboard (CAD)
15. Work together with the Cross Registration Coordinator
16. Create, modify, or cancel Cross Registration courses each term as needed
17. Reviews and audits completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance
18. Assists with ad hoc projects and ADC end-of-term processing report clean-up
19. Participates in annual trainings and professional development to keep abreast of new information and program changes
20. Responsible for testing of software upgrades, modifications, and changes (in systems such as Banner, Degree Works, and OnBase) and other technology within the Office of the Registrar
21. Work closely with the Assistant Registrar to research, review, train, and test new academic scheduling software for future scheduling processes
22. Review and process incoming requests through new scheduling platform
23. Responsible for assisting the USG with new software implementation, including testing of the new software to ensure it is meeting the intended outcomes
24. Perform related duties as assigned
25. Assists with all graduation ceremonies
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Required Experience
Three (3) years relevant experience at an institution of higher education or relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working in an Office of the Registrar at an institution of higher education
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range for this role is $43,000-$47,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Knowledge of Banner (Ellucian) and Degree Works or similar student information systems
Knowledge of KSU rules and regulations, as they pertain to the Office of the Registrar

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Ellucian Banner and Degree Works)
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
