Job Summary

Postdoctoral Researcher - Chemical Biology / Medicinal Chemistry

The Franzini Research Group (University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Institute) is seeking an independent and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (start: Summer/Fall 2026).

Responsibilities
Research Focus:

Development of bioorthogonal chemistry and its application to diagnostics and drug delivery. The work emphasizes the application of synthetic chemistry and molecular tools to biologically and pharmacologically relevant systems.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who can drive projects independently in a small, fast-paced research environment.

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or related field
Strong experience in multi-step organic synthesis
Ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently
Preferred: Experience working across chemistry and biology
Strong interest in expanding scientific skills and knowledge
