Join our dynamic Dining Services team at Williams College!

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality dining experiences for our community.

Pay: Ranges from $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Position: This is a 40-hour per week, 12-month position, reporting to the Senior Operations Manager for Mission Park.

Schedule: 10:30 am - 7:00 pm Sunday, 12:00 - 8:30 pm Monday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure safe food handling and service.
  • Focus on creating, preparing, and serving high-quality food.
  • Follow pre-established menus and recipes with attention to accuracy in allergens, food quality, preparation, temperatures, tastes, appearance, and garnishing.
  • Maintain overall sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Ensure allergen labels are accurate and accessible.
  • Collaborate with First and Second Cooks under daily supervision.


Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of relevant kitchen experience is strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of food service is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to relate to diverse customers and staff professionally.
  • Basic math skills, scheduling flexibility, and the ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds.
