Position Description

This is a union position that provides custodial services for university residence halls. This position is represented by Seattle/King County Building & Construction Trades Council.

Duties include

Vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, mirrors, and windows.
Collect and dispose of garbage. Marginal Job Functions Provide floor care including sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, and waxing. Shampoo carpets, and furniture.
Set up chairs, tables, and stages for auditorium events.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to work the stated hours/days.
Ability to understand instructions given in the English language.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to lift or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Must pass background check. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
High school diploma or GED preferred

Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
May require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Use of cleaning equipment, ladders, and other tools as needed.

Hourly Wage: $23.44 per hour
