Position Description

This is a union position that provides custodial services for university residence halls. This position is represented by Seattle/King County Building & Construction Trades Council.


Duties include
  • Vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, mirrors, and windows.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage. Marginal Job Functions Provide floor care including sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, and waxing. Shampoo carpets, and furniture.
  • Set up chairs, tables, and stages for auditorium events.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ability to work the stated hours/days.
  • Ability to understand instructions given in the English language.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to lift or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass background check. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Working Conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • May require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
  • Use of cleaning equipment, ladders, and other tools as needed.

Hourly Wage: $23.44 per hour
