The Business School has approximately 85 full-time faculty, over 50 full-time staff serving 4,000 students with a $20 million plus budget. This position serves as the Business School subject matter expert on University and State procurement rules and processes. This position supports all faculty, staff, and D-2 programs in the Business School.
The position promotes, supports, manages, counsels, develops, and updates all rules and regulations of the Federal, State, University and Campus systems. This position is the primary liaison for the Business school regarding procurement. This includes internal and external constituents and all vendor relationships. This position manages all budgets, grant funds, procurement and contracts needed to administer all general and auxiliary funding to the Business School. This position ensures compliance with fiscal procedures and internal controls. This position reports any compliance/risk issues to the Dean(s).
Building and Operations Senior Professional
What you will do:
Facilities & Building Operations
- Conduct daily building walks and check-ins with key support groups; participate in weekly meetings with the Operations team.
- Oversee daily operations of Business School facilities, ensuring timely resolution of maintenance issues and service requests.
- Create, submit, and track work orders for repairs, custodial needs, and general building upkeep.
- Coordinate logistics for building access, fire and life safety systems, key distribution, space assignments, furniture moves/disposals, and shredding services.
- Work closely with campus security, custodial staff, and maintenance teams to address immediate building needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Review and process building access requests, monitor active building hours, and maintain access records.Maintain and distribute emergency planning materials, collaborating with CU Denver and AHEC to ensure procedures are current and communicated.
- Perform monthly room setup checks and update space allocation data annually in the university's facilities system.
Front Desk & Student Staff Management
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a team of front desk student workers to ensure a welcoming and helpful presence on the 1st floor.
- Foster a commitment to exemplary experiences for students, visitors, faculty, and staff in the building.
Event & Space Coordination
- Coordinate with staff, faculty, and departments for events, office moves, and transitions to ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with the DC Facilities group as needed.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Ensure FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) are accurately recorded, inventoried, and maintained throughout the year.
- Manage disposals and ordering in collaboration with the Assistant Dean, aligning with fiscal priorities.
- Responsible for office supplies inventory and ordering.
- Maintain Marketplace access and create supply orders.
Administrative Support
- Order business cards and assist with printing jobs.
- Manage mail and package deliveries.
- Assist with various projects as required by the Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications) - A bachelor's degree in a related field, from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience in operations, logistics, or customer service to include supervisory and project management experience.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in student scheduling, including classroom placement, testing locations, access coordination, or similar scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of University and Business School's rules and policies .
- Previous experience at the University of Colorado in a similar position, using CU systems (Marketplace, Concur, HCM), University forms and policies/procedures.

Conditions of Employment
- This position is full-time in person, on-site from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements
- This role requires lifting, bending and physical ability to complete the projects needed in the building.
- Walking and Standing: Daily building walks and physical inspections require regular movement throughout the facility.
- Lifting and Carrying: May occasionally need to lift or move office supplies, packages, or small furniture (typically under 25 lbs).
- Manual Dexterity: Needed for handling keys, operating office equipment, and managing supply orders.
- Visual Acuity: Required for reading documents, monitoring building conditions, and using computer systems.
- Emergency Situations: May be involved in emergency planning and response, requiring calm and effective action under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $ 66,600-$69,930 .
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
