Job Summary:





















The Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado, seeks a part-time (0.5 FTE) Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice to practice at the UCHealth Lone Tree Medical Center in Lone Tree, CO. This position would involve a range of general rheumatology care, collaboration with rheumatology APPs, interaction with medical trainees inclusive of rheumatology fellows, and support of primary care and other subspecialties in the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical duties include outpatient clinical care at the UCHealth Lone Tree.

  • Teaching activities may include leading formal/informal teaching sessions. Academic responsibilities may include active participation in rheumatology conferences with the Anschutz Medical Campus, quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities.

  • Interactions with faculty at the Anschutz Campus and clinical research collaborations are highly encouraged.

  • The clinician will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator and scholar.

    Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Lone Tree and Aurora, CO.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:



    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



    Assistant Professor:
    • MD or DO. Board certified or board-eligible in rheumatology.





    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 0-7 years' experience as an MD or DO



    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    Assistant Professor: $160,000-180,000

    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
