In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $80,000.00 Annually
Maximum $87,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Business Development & Operations, the Manager of Campus Store oversees the daily Campus Store operations, vendor management, purchasing decisions, and drives sales to achieve profitability goals. This role also handles customer issues and implements promotional strategies both in-store and online. Assists with the Campus Store financial forecasting and market trends. Manages and assist with the planning, execution, and vendor management of the Student Equipment Program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Must have excellent customer service skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively and professionally interact with vendors, administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- A strong knowledge of retail practices in a traditional store, college or university retail environment.
- Good computer skills necessary to set up document formats and customized artwork in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop and other computer programs required by this position.
- Must have basic mathematical skills in addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages.
- Must be able to use creative thinking for problem solving.
- Must be able to work in a changing, busy environment where priorities and deadlines are constantly changing and being re-evaluated.
- Must be able to meet deadlines by prioritizing and scheduling your workload.
- Must be able to travel to various locations for educational training, buying opportunities and to provide support to any satellite locations.
Required Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job.
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelors degree in business, economics, or related field preferred.
- EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years in customer service
- 3-5 years of retail management or a combination of some experience in any of the above.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, POS software, & inventory management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred applicant has university or college store experience in purchasing, invoicing, merchandising, & retail management.
