Job Summary
The Division of Cardiology is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work on our Cardiac Electrophysiology team.
The position is primarily outpatient-based, with a focus on our Redwood and Redstone community clinic locations. There may also be participation in outreach clinics involved.
In this position, the individual will be involved with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, fellows, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and other staff to coordinate the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers and defibrillators.

Required
Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
To obtain licensure requires graduation from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Specialty experience is preferred on a position-by-position basis.
UHPPM 1-56 requires that newly hired non-physician providers apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.
This position is patient-sensitive and requires fulfillment of all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers, and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.

1. Assess the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.2. Formulate a medical plan based on the patient's condition.3. Participates in quality improvement activities.9. Educates patients regarding medical conditions and promotes health maintenance.10. Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates the care of individuals requiring emergency measures.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
