In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $88,430.00 Annually
Maximum $98,430.00 Annually
Job Summary
The Associate Director of Financial Aid serves as a key member of the financial aid leadership team, supporting the Director in the overall administration, compliance, and delivery of financial aid services. This position provides day-to-day management of staff, ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and plays a pivotal role in leveraging technology-particularly Ellucian Banner-to streamline operations, enhance data integrity, and improve the student experience.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Education, or Public Administration; or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial aid administration.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
- Experience with reporting tools and data analytics
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Experience:
- Financial aid packaging strategies, professional judgment, and scholarship management.
- Federal work-study program management and/or enrollment management practices.
- Familiarity with additional systems such as Workday, CampusLogic, or Slate.
- Proficiency in Ellucian Banner (financial aid module) with a demonstrated ability to manage system processes and troubleshoot issues.
