This position is perfect for someone who loves working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to support children and families in a busy clinic setting. You'll receive on-the-job training and develop skills in medical systems like EPIC, patient interaction, scheduling, and more-all while working with a fun, supportive team that makes a real impact every day.
You'll primarily serve patients at our Salt Lake and Lehi locations, with occasional coverage in Layton and Provo as needed. Best of all-no weekends required!
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
- Participate in on-the-job learning across a variety of topics within pediatric orthopedics-including diagnoses, procedures, and workflows-so you can grow your knowledge and confidence over time
- Work collaboratively with team members across all departments-we rely on and learn from each other every day
- Use EPIC to schedule appointments, complete registration, check patients in/out, and manage work queues
- Triage patient phone calls and referrals (paper and electronic) to ensure patients are scheduled in the correct clinics
- Collect co-pays and assist with prior authorizations for procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and families, both in person and over the phone
- Apply newly learned clinical knowledge to your daily tasks in a fast-paced environment where every day brings something new
- Keep things moving efficiently while staying kind, organized, and detail-oriented
Minimum Qualifications
One year of office experience, customer
service experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Current, valid Utah driver's license at
time of hire may be required in some
areas.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
