Summary of Responsibilities


  • Performs advanced and confidential administrative support duties associated with benefits, compensation, talent and recordkeeping. Tracks and analyzes data. Creates reports, and other documents. Responsible for taking minutes, scheduling meetings/events, managing calendars, and answering calls and questions. Directs faculty, staff, and others to appropriate team members. Coordinates with other staff members within the department and throughout the university. Make recommendations to website updates, forms and processes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, workspaces, and common areas
  • Assists with events benefits fair, wellness fair communication, planning, and support. Responsible for inventory, ordering supplies, receiving, billing, monitoring, and reconciling expenditures.
  • Benefits: Assist with ACH payment requests, tuition waiver, deposits, benefits open enrollment, and benefit-related form completion federal and miscellaneous. Assist with Affordable Care Act information and reporting.
  • Compensation: Assist with position description library updates, processing electronic personnel action forms epafs and other compensation tasks.
  • Monitors budgets as directed. Coordinates area financial activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, ePAF creation, tracking of expenditures and other budget-related activities.
  • Talent: Coordinate and enter data for the wellness program.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for higher education or government institutions.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of the use of computers and computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, databases, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of policies/procedures of both assigned and work related areas.
  • Knowledge of best practices in communications, correspondence, and appropriate matters of etiquette in various settings or vehicles.
  • Knowledge of current and efficient practices in scheduling, administrative support, and events coordination.
Skills
  • Skills in operating basic office equipment.
  • Word processing and date entry skills including Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams) and other software applications such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud products.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Records maintenance skills
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
