Position Description
Under the general direction of the Director of Disability Services, this position is responsible for the coordination and administration of accommodated testing services for students with disabilities. Key responsibilities include scheduling and proctoring exams, facilitating effective communication between faculty and students regarding academic accommodations, and ensuring appropriate access to classrooms and instructional spaces. This role plays a critical part in supporting the equitable implementation of accommodations and upholding institutional commitments to accessibility.
Job Duties:
Administration of Testing Services: 80%
- Directs accommodated testing services: receiving exams from faculty, scheduling rooms, proctoring exams, maintaining testing security and providing student access.
- Enforces university academic integrity policy in testing center.
- Manages accessible software for testing.
- Collects data regarding testing center usage.
- Recruits, hires and trains graduate student proctors.
Administration and Support of Disabilities Services Programs: (20%)
- Coordinates classroom access with registrar's office and individual college classroom managers.
- Communicates and coordinates with facilities services about accessible seating and tables.
- Drafts and sends out letters on Full-time Equivalency Accommodation to appropriate offices.
- Provides administrative backup for Media and Technology Coordinator and Office and Budget Manager.
- Serves as liaison to software vendor for student accommodation management system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two or more years of progressively responsible customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and be able to articulate examples of; the ability to work well independently yet collaboratively with other staff, an enthusiasm for interaction with a diverse group of college students, demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to timelines, good follow-through, excellent customer service, the ability to independently solve problems and be able to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and experience with students with disabilities.
- Experience proctoring exams in higher education setting.
- Proficiency with web based software including Canvas, MS office Suite, and experience with Accessible Information Management (AIM) software or similar student accommodation management software.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000.
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.

Hybrid Eligible
This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after successful completion of an introductory work period of 3-6 months. This may mean that a hybrid eligible role will begin on-campus initially and then will transition to hybrid format following onboarding and training. Flexible work plans are subject to periodic review and may be changed or terminated at any time for any reason at the university's discretion.
