Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Program Manager - Foundation & Employee Experience to join our Institutional Advancement team. This pivotal role supports the growth and well-being of our team by developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance the employee experience across the division. The Program Manager will lead key programs such as the Foundation Ambassador scholarship and mentorship initiative, coordinate professional development and recognition efforts, and provide vital support to the Executive Director in managing high-impact projects, board relations, and events. This hybrid-eligible position offers a unique opportunity to shape culture, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to the mission of UVU through both operational excellence and a commitment to student and employee success.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Create and execute a strategic plan for each IA employee to improve the employee experience, oversee and conduct onboarding/offboarding for each employee, and coordinate events and activities, including IA Summer University, and IA Awards of Excellence, from the call for nominations to awardee selection process, provide professional development opportunities through CASE, AGB and other national professional associations, initiate internal employee trainings and seminars, oversee employee recognition and appreciation.
- Manage the Foundation Ambassador program, coordinate the selection process, awarding of scholarships, advising and mentoring of the students. Organize and conduct weekly meetings and oversee any volunteer event participation. Build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to help students engage in various ways with board members and throughout campus. Coordinate board member mentorship opportunities for students. Provide project and program support for the executive director including but not limited to: Updating and tracking the progress of the annual budget and program expenses.
- Coordinate with the Director-Foundation in the management of the Foundation Board's strategic projects, relationships, and events. Manage communications, agenda, calendar, and logistics for board meetings, team meetings and retreats, etc. Manages the Foundation sub-committee meetings, including agenda, calendar, and logistics. Support the annual production of the board retreat, from conception, collaborate with campus partners, oversee communications with the president's office, and board members, coordinate retreat production, liaise with vendors and campus partners for travel, gifts, menu, lighting, and av. As requested, manages the board member experience including coordinating campus tours and gifts.
- President's EverGREEN Society, assist with the tracking, planning and execution of activities associated with donors who have given to UVU at the principal level, prospective donors, and VIP friends of the university, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a directly related field and two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling six years.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with nonprofit boards.
Licenses or Certifications
Valid driver's license required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge
- Knowledge of best practices in internal and external communications, correspondence, and appropriate matters of etiquette in various settings or vehicles.
- Knowledge of databases and accounting software.
- Knowledge of fund development field helpful.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and supervising skills.
- Outstanding phone skills.
- Strong editing and writing skills, including written correspondence.
- Skills in basic business math.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and web browsers.
