The Precision Laser Diagnostics Laboratory is looking for a motivated postdoc or research scientist to lead research efforts focused on frequency comb absorption spectroscopy in aerosol and reacting systems. These projects include laser instrumentation development, laboratory studies, and field-deployment of systems.

Who We Are
The Precision Laser Diagnostics Laboratory at the University of Colorado-Boulder develops and deploys instrumentation, including frequency comb laser spectrometers, for trace gas sensing in atmospheric, industrial, biological and combustion environments.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The position offers the unique opportunity to develop frequency comb laser sensors and apply them to aerosol and reacting systems. The applicant will lead projects, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.

What We Require
- PhD in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience beyond PhD (for research associate).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong work ethic.
What You Will Need
- Knowledge of Optical Sensing.
- Experience in experimental design, data collection, and processing.
- Basic mechanical design and fabrication skills.
- Needed technical skills:
- Component and System Design and Troubleshooting.
- Basic machining (Mill, Lathe).
- Soldering (Thru Hole & Surface Mount).
- Programming experience (Python desired, or Matlab/C++ and willingness to learn).
