Job Summary:
The Innovation Fellow-in-Residence (IFR) will support the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) Initiative by assisting the Faculty Director engage with students, alumni, faculty, staff and the broader entrepreneurial community in the Bay Area to promote the initiative, garner support and resources, and increase participation from stakeholders. The IFR will support the Faculty Director by providing advice to students, recruiting mentors to provide guidance in a variety of industries, disciplines, and sectors of society. The IFR will develop relationships with alumni to identify new areas of growth for the initiative. Finally, the IFR will assist with designing, developing, and deploying custom tools and learning experiences to help all students across USF develop entrepreneurial skills.

Full Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and executing events, including but not limited to, hack-a-thons, speaking events, panels, and/or pitch competitions.
Contribute to the design and interactive improvement of online tools and other educational resources that provide data-driven insights and guidance to student entrepreneurs.
Initiate communication with experts across disciplines to increase participation and engagement among students, faculty, and staff across USF.
When possible, provide guidance and mentorship to students trying to launch new companies, non-profits, or other organizational entities.
Coordinate and conduct interviews with alumni and industry experts to produce educational learning experiences that can be accessed by all students and alumni from USF.
Attend events as directed to promote the E & I initiative, recruit mentors, and develop relationships with strategic partners.
Other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience in entrepreneurship and/or startups.
Excellent technical and project management skills.
Detail-driven organizational skills required.
Expedient responsiveness required.
Team oriented and willing and able to bring a consistently positive spirit to work.
Excellent communication skills including but not limited to written and verbal.
Previous experience interacting with students and organizing events highly desired.
Ability to think, work independently, and make valuable contributions in the absence of specific instructions.
Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary. Hours of work may vary depending on needs and/or deadlines.

Pay Rate:

Salary Range :
$39.92 - $41.92, commensurate with experience
