Position Description
The Senior Academic Administrator is a key member of the School of Law Registrar's Office team. Reporting to the Associate Dean & Registrar, this position supports academic program leaders in core administrative functions including 1) building course schedules, 2) coordinating adjunct faculty, 3) maintaining records and course catalog information, 4) supporting operations of the exam office, and 5) serving as point of contact and resource at the Registrar's Office front desk.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the academic program directors of Flex JD Program, International and Graduate programs in building the school of law course schedule and maintaining course and course-section records in Colleague, Seattle University's student information system.
- Serve as point of first contact with adjunct faculty. Coordinate with faculty services to onboard new adjunct faculty including completion of hiring paperwork and account setup. Communicate with adjunct faculty regarding academic deadlines and School of Law events.
- Maintain the Academics and Faculty sections of the School of Law website including maintenance of the course catalog and faculty profiles. Coordinate with academic program staff to ensure their website content is up to date.
- Assist the Associate Registrar with exams including production of the exam schedule, coordination with adjunct faculty, and proctoring of exams and midterms.
- Serve as a point of first contact in the Student Services suite to direct students to the appropriate services and departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, with an understanding of the Seattle University mission, as well as an alignment with the university's mission, vision, and values and four years of experience in an academic environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, writing, decision-making and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with large and diverse internal and external audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to details, timelines, the context for decisions, and policy and public relations implications.
- Ability to work occasionally in the evenings and weekends.
- Individual initiative and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Culturally competent approach to leadership with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- High level of diplomacy and confidentiality when advising students.
- Experience utilizing electronic systems to track relationships and processes.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $55,000 - 60,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.

Hybrid Eligible
This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after successful completion of an introductory work period of 3-6 months. This may mean that a hybrid eligible role will begin on-campus initially and then will transition to hybrid format following onboarding and training. Flexible work plans are subject to periodic review and may be changed or terminated at any time for any reason at the university's discretion.
