Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $120,000 Annually
Maximum $120,000 Annually

Job Summary

Provide instruction, advisement, evaluation of student performance, and supervision to Physician Assistant (PA) students that culminate in the fulfillment of programmatic competencies. To design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the PA curriculum and program. To support and propagate the mission of the College of Health Sciences and the institution.

Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to the practice of a Physician Assistant.

Knowledge of the skills and tasks that are performed by a primary care Physician Assistant.

Knowledge of accreditation standards and expectations.

Effective skills in oral and written communication.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION: If PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and possessing a Masters Degree.

Other than PA: a minimum of a Masters degree in the field in which instruction is to be provided. Doctorate degree will be given preference

EXPERIENCE: If a PA: Minimum three years of clinical experience and/or academic teaching in higher education.

Other than PA: Minimum three years of experience teaching in higher education, PA education preferable.

LICENSURE: For PAs: Active California Physician Assistant License; NCCPA Certification.

Other than PA - licensure, certification, terminal degree or expertise in related field.
