Instructor, E-resources Access Librarian with the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz (Denver, CO)
The E-Resources Access Librarian is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access to Auraria Library's licensed and open access electronic resources. This Librarian is committed to staying informed about trends and best practices related to discovery and access and is comfortable with the continuously changing landscape of electronic resources. The Librarian participates on Library and campus-wide committees and in CU Denver faculty governance. Manages access to the Library's licensed and open access eresources in the Library's knowledge base/link resolver (Serials Solutions) and discovery system (Summon). Plays a key role in the e-resources workflow, to ensure that e-resources access is consistent with the Library's subscriptions including new subscriptions, cancellations, platform changes, etc. Work closely with database vendors and publishers to provide excellent access to Auraria Library's e-resources. Administers the Library's Ezproxy instance to enable authentication for off-campus access. Troubleshoots e-resources access problems for internal and external users, and communicates wide-spread access issues to the Library. Investigates, develops, and implements workflows and processes to improve e-resources access and keeps up-to-date documentation of the process and procedures that are part of the e-resources workflow. Strives to provide uninterrupted access to e-resources for students, faculty, and staff. Works towards enhancing accessibility and usability of platforms where users discover and access Library resources. Works with the Access and Public Services Department on access issues regarding user categories (i.e. alumni, dual enrollment students, affiliated scholars). Participates in the development and delivery of one-time, course integrated instruction sessions to undergraduate and graduate students. Facilitates instruction sessions (face-to-face and online) on a broad range of topics related to electronic content access and use. Participates in orientations, including new student orientations, transfer student orientations, new faculty orientations, and new employee orientations among others. Participates in teaching and assessing programmatic instruction for foundational courses. Facilitates training workshops for library faculty and staff on new and existing resources and technologies. Participates on Library and campus-wide committees and CU Denver faculty governance. Engage in fulfilling the research and educational missions of the Auraria Library and the three institutions on the Auraria Campus (CU Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver and the Community College of Denver). Engage in professional development, such as conference attendance, webinars and courses/continuing education as appropriate.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
This position requires at least a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Library and Information Science, or a closely related field and 4 years of experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Working in an academic or research library. Managing library resources within integrated library systems, discovery systems, and/or knowledge base/link resolver software. Troubleshooting and resolving access issues to e-resources. Providing information Literacy Instruction.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at minimum $54,808.00, per year.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
