Min T/E Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or development, with specific experience in annual giving. Experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising preferred. Proven success in leading and growing alumni engagement and annual giving programs. Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff, with experience in team building and leadership development.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a diverse audience of alumni, donors, and university stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of alumni engagement, annual giving, and donor stewardship best practices. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience with donor management systems, CRM tools, and data analysis to inform decisions and track giving trends. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, the AVC supervises the Director of Alumni Affairs, the Donor Relations/Gift Administrator, and manges the daily work of the Director of Marketing & Communications for Advancement, overseeing the strategy and execution of all aspects of annual giving, with plans to expand the annual giving team in the future. This role is critical to enhancing alumni engagement, building a strong philanthropic culture, and achieving fundraising goals that align with the university's strategic priorities.
