Job Description:


The Associate Director of Corporate Engagement serves as a front-line ambassador within the college's service district, assisting the Vice President for Advancement in the engagement of businesses and the non-profit arena. Responsibilities include connecting the external community to the college to create opportunities such as internships and to develop volunteer and philanthropic connections with regional employers. This position plays a significant role in developing and expanding relationships and revenue opportunities with new corporate prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Represent the college on- and off-campus to develop business and industry partnerships, including facilitation of in-person and virtual meetings
  • Develop connections for external partners to appropriate college programs and services
    • Serve as principal liaison with local business community and faculty as point of contact for internship, part-time employment, and career opportunities for Massasoit students
    • Effectively communicate the college mission, vision, and economic importance in public forums and events to business audiences, organizations, and corporate executives
    • Develop and maintain processes and procedures for internship assignments working closely with faculty and academic advisors
    • Collaborate with state university and community college internship and career services networks to identify and implement best practices
    • Orient internship site supervisors about college procedures, academic requirements, timelines, and expectations and inspect all internship sites prior to student placements
    • Work collaboratively with appropriate offices especially Advancement Office, Department Chairs, Academic Deans, and Student Life advisors to expand relationships with external constituencies
    • Assist in identifying and recruiting volunteers for academic advisory boards and Massasoit Foundation
    • Serve as college representative at various chambers of commerce, including any committee or board participation
  • Coordinate with VP for Advancement in fundraising efforts within corporate sector to secure philanthropic support and sponsorships for college programs and events
    • Develop, cultivate, and expand relationships with existing and potential corporate funders and other external organizations
    • Coordinate with Grants department in researching and preparing grant requests of corporate and private foundations
  • Provide supervision as assigned
  • Research and present information efficiently orally and in writing
  • Collaborate successfully with internal and external community
  • Work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Promote the mission of the College



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Counseling, Education, or related field with a minimum of three years of work experience in higher education, the non-profit sector, workforce development, or business
  • Experience with external relationship building and collaboration
  • Experience in career or workforce development and/or job recruitment
  • Proficiency in the use of email communication, MSOffice, web-based resources, and social media
  • Ability to travel to and work at all Massasoit locations and travel to current/potential work sites as needed
  • High degree of self-initiative
  • Successful experience interacting with diverse populations
  • Commitment to sustainable practices and institutional diversity

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Counseling, Education or related field
  • Experience in or knowledge of South Shore business community
  • Experience working in a community college setting
  • Experience in developing grant applications or fundraising
  • Experience recruiting volunteers
  • Supervisory experience

Additional Information:


Position Status: Non-unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: $65,031 - $84,540 (annually), commensurate with education and experience

Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary
