Job Summary
The Sarter Lab is seeking a full-time Research Technician Associate/Lab Manager to perform a variety of tasks relating to behavioral neuroscience research. Major tasks include:
  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of the laboratory, including IACUC, ULAM, and Biosafety-related issues/inspections/protocols.
  • Managing undergraduate training and IACUC protocol adherence.
  • Managing purchasing of lab supplies and animals; coordinating purchases with grants manager.
  • Working with other Lab Managers to oversee shared spaces and instrumentation.
  • Supporting collaborations with outside researchers (e.g., tissue generation and shipments).
  • Conducting research for selected research projects.

Required Qualifications*
High school diploma or Associate's degree, experience handling rodents and conducting behavioral neuroscience research, performing stereotaxic surgeries, rodent perfusions and histological analysis.

Desired Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information
One year term-limited position with excellent possibility of extension based on the availability of funding.

Start date is negotiable.
