Responsibilities:

The Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, Admissions manages all undergraduate enrollment management activities related to admission, recruitment and yield for each of the different entry points of admission. This position develops and implements advanced and innovative recruitment, admissions and yield strategies, particularly those that will help diversify and increase (in number and quality) applications of prospective undergraduate students. This includes strategic planning related to the recruitment of key populations such as under-represented students of color, international students, targeted geographic regions, and candidates for the University Honors Program and special scholarships.
The position works under the supervision of the Senior Director for Enrollment Management, to achieve recruitment and yield goals for the Bouve College of Health Sciences. Recruitment and yield activities are discussed and strategized in close communication and collaboration with staff in NU Admissions and Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA), the Bouve Leadership Team, Department Chairs and Unit Leaders, Program Directors and Faculty.
Recruitment and admissions activities for undergraduate students may include recruiting prospective students; monitoring, assessing and evaluating the success of recruiting activities; maintaining active communication with prospective students and their families as appropriate; collaborating with academic units for admissions events and marketing; attending conferences, and other related virtual and on-ground strategies. Yield activities may include NU Admissions programming but not limited to Open Houses, On-Campus Visits, Classroom Visits, Health Science Days, Preview Days, Welcome Days, Honors Welcome Days, Phonathons, Transfer Students, and other activities that may be developed to achieve yield goals for Bouve College.

Qualifications:

Masters degree with 4-6 years of experience in higher education preferably in undergraduate student recruitment, admissions and yield; event planning; strong administrative, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; ability to both initiate and work as a collaborative team member; ability to represent the college in a variety of settings with both internal and external constituencies; and management experience. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across units, colleges, and divisions to include NU Admissions, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, and the Bouv Leadership Team on a variety of recruitment, admissions, and yield activities.
