The Department of Neurobiology at the University of Utah (http://www.neuro.utah.edu/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at any rank. We seek an innovative and collaborative scientist to lead a research program focused on the mechanisms underlying brain function or disease and to contribute to a supportive, inclusive academic community.

Research Focus
We welcome applicants across all areas of neuroscience. Research themes of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
  • Cellular and molecular mechanisms of brain function
  • Developmental neurobiology
  • Neurobiology of disease
  • Brain aging

Candidates using multidisciplinary approaches and advanced technologiessuch as genomics, imaging, computational methods, or molecular toolsare especially encouraged to apply. However, outstanding candidates from any area of neuroscience will be considered.

Qualifications and Expectations
Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience. Competitive candidates will demonstrate research excellence and strong potential to secure and sustain independent extramural funding.
