Job Summary

Facilities / Maintenance Technicians
Assist with general maintenance and repairs which may include light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, painting, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions. Conduct routine checks on machinery to determine maintenance required for proper operation. Assist employees with internal moves and transport supplies and equipment as needed. May work with specialized outside contractors. May have some formal training in one or more trades or related experience in building maintenance.

Facilities / Maintenance Technician, IIAssist with general maintenance and repairs which may include light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, painting, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions. Conduct routine checks on machinery to determine maintenance required for proper operation. Assist employees with internal moves and transport supplies and equipment as needed. May work with specialized outside contractors. May have some formal training in one or more trades or related experience in building maintenance. Complete routine tasks under moderate supervision.Requires at least 1 year of related experience.This is an Intermediate Level position in the Support track.Job Code: S22622Grade: S14

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Facilities / Maintenance Technician, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
Facilities / Maintenance Technician, III: Requires 3+ years of related experience.
