(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Provides oversight and leadership for all aspects of Academic Operations including resource allocation, strategic planning, and other divisional operations. Provides oversight for financials of the academic support units. Advise and provide decision support to academic leadership on financial matters and available resources. Develop tools and processes around academic operations for academic leadership team. Supervision of Academic Operations and Business Data Analyst team.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with academic and university leaders to strategically deploy resources across colleges and academic units
2. Provides oversight and leadership of the academic resource allocation process
3. Provide annual financial and operational reporting to Deans and Vice Provosts
4. Responsible for the building and maintenance of a standardized Academic Operations data set, integrating financial and non-financial data to drive operational improvements
5. Oversee the approval and prioritization of one-time funding and facility project requests within Academic Affairs
6. Works alongside UITS to evaluate and approve Academic Affairs UITS project requests
7. Provide regular, meaningful data to academic and university leaders to drive operational decision making including but not limited to space, schedule, teaching, credit hour, and financial information
8. Manage the Academic Affairs personnel action approval and reporting process
9. Provides budget and financial oversight for all academic administrative units in the Office of the Provost, working directly with Assistant/Associate Vice Provosts.
10. Deploys a team of Academic Operations and Business Data Analysts responsible for supporting decisions made by academic and university leaders.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Required Experience
Eight (8) years of relevant experience involving finance, accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, data analytics with at least four (4) years in a management capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous fiscal experience with a public higher education institution
Experience with managing complex budgets, including knowledge and experience with various revenue sources such as grants, bonds, endowments, etc.
Experience with preparing comprehensive quantitative and qualitative reports for executive leadership and public review
Proposed Salary
