The Williams College Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting assistant professor, to begin Fall 2026.
The teaching load will be two courses during the fall semester (often realized as a single course plus its associated laboratory sections), and two during the spring, with teaching assignments to be determined in conversation with the candidate. We provide mentoring in teaching and research for visiting faculty as well as some support for research. There will also be opportunities to engage in research projects with students. Furthermore, Williams offers visiting faculty the opportunity to participate in the college's professional development program, First3, and in the NCFDD Faculty Success Program, along with support through the Rice Center for Teaching. Qualifications
