Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is one of the country's leading schools of health and rehabilitation sciences. The Sr. Staff Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Research Administration team including all aspects of grant administration, such as budget management, lab purchasing, proposal submissions, and post-award paperwork. The role reports to the Director of Research Administration at Sargent College, and provides administrative support for a complex, diverse grant portfolio for the college totaling $18 million annually. This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure and training managing federal, state, industry and foundation sponsored grants administration at a large research institution.
The coordinator will be responsible for post-award grant administration and financial accounting. Responsibilities include monitoring and tracking budgets, processing purchase requisitions, making financial projections for progress reports, applying university policies for purchase of scientific equipment and supplies, assisting with any outreach efforts to subcontractors, assisting in conference registration and travel payments, reimbursements and reconciling payroll expenses. Further post-award responsibilities include monitoring the budget, reconciling expenses, monitoring of subawards, and placing lab orders in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will serve as the liaison for suppliers and lab personnel of sponsored program purchases.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a financial setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with learning and troubleshooting new software systems.
- Able to work independently and accurately with high attention to detail.
- Prior experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, time and deadline-sensitive, and able to perform using tact and discretion in a deadline-oriented environment.
