Job Summary:
The Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a Physician Assistant. This full time Physician Assistant will join a growing clinical team of general and developmental pediatricians, and advanced practice providers. Responsibilities include pediatric primary care ambulatory services focused mainly at our Sugar House Health Center and development and autism evaluations in our Child Development Program. Additional services at other locations may be required, depending on clinical need. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with the entire care team to deliver excellent primary care.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- The Physician Assistant will provide pediatric primary care ambulatory services at our Sugar House Health Center and development and autism evaluations at our Child Development Program, in collaboration with a team of physicians, medical assistants, and care managers.
- Conduct patient evaluations, including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, making diagnoses, creating and managing treatment plans and documenting clinical encounters.
- Participation in clinic(s) and division quality improvement initiatives.
Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required:Nearly Continuously: Hearing, listening, talking.Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking, standing, sitting. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.

- This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care. Workers in this position may be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to function around prisoners and behavioral health patients.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Work Schedule Summary: Monday through Friday, schedule availability from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Some additional hours may be required based on operational needs, which may include a requirement to occasionally work on Saturdays.
