Job Summary:
- We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Assistant Volleyball Coach. This coaching appointment is responsible for assisting the head coach and other assistant coach in the planning and administration of all aspects of the Division I volleyball program at EWU. In addition, this position will have responsibilities in the organization of office, recruiting, travel, alumni and camp duties.

- The salary for this position is $40,000 minimum salary (minimum) up to $45,000 top salary being offered. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree.
- One (1) year of volleyball coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level or two (2)years of coaching at any college level or commensurate experience.
- Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 60 days of employment.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate should showcase a strong interest in, ability to, and/or experience withpromoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and diversity.
- One (1) year of volleyball coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level or two (2)years of coaching at any college level or commensurate experience.
- Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 60 days of employment.

- Experience managing group travel.
- Successful history of running sport camps, including management of housing, food &campers.

Job Duties:
COACHING & PROGRAM DUTIES
- Work with the head coach in the planning and organization of appropriate pre-season, in-season, post-season, and off-season team activities including, but not limited to, practice planning, game management and in-game adjustments.
- Serve as primary video coordinator for team, including video of home practices &matches, while maintaining knowledge of applicable game breakdown software.
- Provide consultation, instruction and expertise to head coach, assistant coach & team members.
- Facilitate learning of proper skill execution and safety techniques.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in coaching and teaching skills.
- Meet with head coach daily to plan practices, competition and other team matters.
- Establish the academic requirements for student-athletes and monitor their academic progress at all times.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Booking and coordinating travel for team
- Accounts payable reconciliation
- Oversee equipment orders for the team
- Coordinate facility space for practice
- Social media
RECRUITING DUTIES
- Catalog, Evaluate and Input all Sophomore and younger PSA
into UA - Assist in and be present for all visits on campus
- Phone calls to recruits as assigned by RC
- Recruiting trips, local and out of area as directed by RC
RULES COMPLIANCE
- Agree to comply with all applicable NCAA rules and regulations as provided in NCAA Division I Manual.
- Become familiar with all applicable Big Sky Conference and Eastern Washington University rules and regulations and agree to comply with them within the confines of this job description.
- Work directly with Athletic Compliance staff in the knowledge and enforcement of all applicable rules and regulations.
OTHER DUTIES
- Other duties as assigned by Head Volleyball Coach.
Conditions of Employment:
Overnight travel will be required for a minimum of fifteen (15) nights per year for team competition and recruiting. Applicants must be able to maintain to a thorough knowledge of NCAA and institutional rules, regulations and policies.
