The Center for Student Involvement is encouraging applications for the Coordinator for Student Organizations! This role is part of the Student Organization and Leadership area within the Center for Student Involvement (CSI). This position specifically supports regular operations for Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) including leading operations within the student organization management system, serving on a departmental/divisional committee, developing events and resources for student organizations, supervising and facilitating annual registration trainings, and enhancing the on-boarding experience for new student organizations.
The coordinator plays a key role in the management of student organizations by serving as a liaison to an assigned case load. Additionally, the position will work with a variety of campus partners to ensure student organization information is regularly communicated, including oversight of the student organization newsletter.
The role will assist the Senior Coordinator for Student Organizations with financial management and student organization registration planning. This position supervises student staff members and interacts with all levels of staff. Center for Student Involvement
CSI helps students build vibrant, engaging and safe communities on campus. This student-fee funded unit is a collaborative team providing dynamic opportunities and resources for students to get involved on campus through programming, student organization support and student employment. CSI oversees the over 500 recognized student organizations on campus and assists students in creating new organizations that match their interests. Annually, CSI puts on over 200 campus events to help students connect, explore their interests and have fun. Students can also participate in various programs within CSI to develop leadership skills, gain professional experience, enhance cultural awareness and more.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Student Organization Management & Support:
- Lead daily operations and functions of the student organization management system, including regularly handling student organization updates, troubleshooting student organization issues, and processing existing and new organization registrations.
- Serves as a staff liaison for RSOs and host weekly drop-in hours.
- Serve as a resource to RSOs by applying student development theory to topics including but not limited to event planning, risk management, and budgetary advising.
- Facilitate RSO Trainings and initiatives throughout the academic year.
- Organize, coordinate, and implement Student organization events such as New RSO Symposium and the Spring Be Involved Fair.
- Run the CSI Social Media account, as support for the Social Media Student Assistant.
- Administer the general student organization email and ensure a timely response is given.
- Support student organization finance information, including updating resources for students, and the website.
- Create the Student Organization Monthly Newsletter in collaboration with the Senior Coordinator for Student Organizations.
- Administrative and managerial responsibilities for Lead Front Desk/Resource Center Assistant and the Social Media Student Assistant.
- Assists the processes to recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff.
- Supervise student staff and, in consultation with other CSI team members, set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that contribute to the department's goals and vision.
- Ensures that all federal, state, university, and departmental hiring procedures are followed.
- Supervise and provide support for the Lead Front Desk/Resource Center Assistant.
- Develop and implement a business plan including handling the budget, tracking purchasing supply resources, and monitoring revenue generation.
- Run the printing process for RSOs/RSGOs.
- Support reservations for the Resource Center with the Lead Front Desk/Resource Center Assistant.
- Assists in the annual budget process as a staff member within a cost center of CU Student Government.
- Maintains accurate budget/ expenditure records, annual set RC printing and resource rates and manage revenue collection and plans for future contingency funds.
- Administers all fiscal processes with integrity and timeliness.
- Follows all federal, state, university and departmental budget procedures.

- This is an onsite position with the option to work from home one day a week set by the team. The role works standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends.
What We Can Offer
- The salary range for this position is $49,900 - $51,700 per year.

What We Require
- A bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field from an accredited college or university, equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- One year of experience directly related to position duties and job description.
