Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Green House Director to lead its innovative student-run digital marketing agency. This position plays a pivotal role in creating real-world learning experiences by overseeing client projects, managing faculty mentors, and supervising student employees. The Green House Director drives engagement by developing meaningful training and project opportunities that build students' digital marketing skills while strengthening partnerships with industry professionals. Ideal candidates will have a passion for education, a strong background in marketing, and a commitment to fostering student success through experiential learning and industry collaboration.

By managing agency operations and cultivating external partnerships, the Green House Director helps students gain hands-on experience in high-demand marketing competencies while supporting UVU's mission of engaged learning.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational (e.g. scheduling, project management), client (e.g. meetings, proposals, contracts), financial (e.g. budgeting, purchasing, forecasting), programmatic (e.g. ensuring activities align with policies and procedures, coordinating efforts with student programs), fundraising (e.g. partnership development, fulfillment, and reporting) and personnel (e.g. hiring, promoting) activities of The Green House. Oversees development of The Green House including the development of student programs, initiatives, trainings, class projects, client deliverables, opportunities for engagement, and extracurricular activities related to the digital agency.
- Supervisory role for a minimum of 15 part-time student employees; and their projects from planning through delivery. Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated and executed.
- Coordinates engaged learning projects with faculty members and their students.
- Builds partnerships with private sector companies in order to provide agency services, secure support, and initiate recruiting relationships.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years. A valid driver's license with the ability to freely navigate multiple campus sites and meetings off-campus.
Preferred Qualifications
Client services experience including:
- Client management, proactive communications, reporting, presenting and closing new business.
- Portfolio of past work related to writing, design, sales, presentations, content marketing, social media, SEO, PPC or other marketing field.
- Adobe or other production/reporting tools (i.e. Dashboards, charts, macros, mysql)
- Experience with (any) of the following: Moz, aHrefs, Ispionage, Spyfu, Flowlu, LogmeIn, Radaar, Hootsuite, Buffer, Hubspot, Grow.com, Podium, GMB, Google Search Console, Social media platforms, Wordpress, Wix, Yoast, Shopify, SendinBlue, ConstantContact, MailChimp, video editing, Canva)
- Drone License/Experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge
- Exceptional experience discovering new technologies, their benefits, and integrations into business production and processes.
- Strong aptitude with CRM development and management.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing including (SEO, PPC, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Marketing Automation)
- Experience with sales enablement, sales support, sales development, automation, processes, and training
- Motivate, develop, and support colleagues
- Strong strategic planning and critical thinking skills
- Sales enablement through presentations, product knowledge and ongoing supporting documentation and training.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prepare, analyze and present client/stakeholder information and presentations.
