The Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks applications for a full-time Lecturer in Theatre Arts/Costume Designer and Shop Manager to begin August 2025.

The position will design and build costumes for at least three productions during the academic year as well as manage the costume shop. Teaching responsibilities include Costume Design, Costume Construction, Stage Makeup, and Introduction to Theatre.

Normal teaching load is 12 hours each semester. Course releases will be given for costume design and shop management. Opportunities may exist to teach Introduction to Acting, Script Analysis, and Play Directing, if desired and qualified. As the Theatre Program is comprehensive and collaborative, directing mainstage productions opportunities are available (but not required) for qualified and interested applicants.
