Position Information:
The School of Education in the College of Communication and Education is collecting application materials for University Supervisor opportunities that may be available in the 2018/2019 academic year. University Supervisors are responsible for observing credential candidates in their school site field placements. As representatives of CSU, Chico in the school sites, University Supervisors promote close and continuing contact for instruction and guidance of credential candidates.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Qualifications: Must hold at least a masters degree in Education or a related field, a credential appropriate for the subject area being supervised, and must have a minimum of three years of full-time K-12 teaching experience or other relevant K-12 experience. Most travel expenses are reimbursed by the university, per campus travel policy.

Additional Requirements and Responsibilities for this position:
Job duties include: observing lessons, holding brief post-observation conferences with the candidate, providing written feedback to the candidate for each observation, supporting mentor teacher in directing the candidates classroom activities, planning, selection of instructional strategies and materials, management, and other tasks.

Employees appointed less than half-time or less than six months are not eligible for standard CSU benefits but do receive prorated sick leave and vacation.

Eligibility for Affordable Care Act (ACA) benefits is based on an appointment of at least three-quarter time, hired to work a minimum of 130 hours per month over the course of the appointment or works an average of 130 hours or more per month during the measurement period.
