Job Description:
APPOINTMENT: 8/15/2019
RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time, tenure track faculty appointment. Teach three to four courses per semester at the Macomb campus in the primary areas and one support area as identified below (9-12 semester hours). Perform research activities commensurate with AACSB Scholarly Academic requirements. Service activities are expected, including interactions with student organization and external business constituencies.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D./D.B.A./A.B.D. in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or closely related Ph.D/D.B.A with both a supply chain management oriented dissertation and significant industry experience in providing strategy level supply chain management recommendations.
Ability to teach Introduction to Supply Chain Management; Global Supply Chain Management; and two of the following courses:

Transportation Management
Supply Chain Negotiations
Supply Management
Project Management
Managerial Decision Making
Operations Management

Research, teaching, and service record commensurate with AACSB accreditation needs.
Ability to design and deliver course content through online courses through one or more learning management platforms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree from a AACSB accredited institution, or similar accreditation.
Demonstrated ability to build academic programs and curriculum.
Demonstrated ability to engage in discipline based fundraising activities.
Proven record of industry interaction.
Willingness to teach at Macomb and Quad Cities campuses as needed.
Proven interest in student interaction through student clubs, field trips, or related activities.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Management and Marketing offer B.B. degrees in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management at both the Macomb and Quad Cities locations.

Macomb is an Amtrak city with twice-daily service to Chicago. Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70 miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).

WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,267): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education and a doctorate in environmental studies, at its metropolitan campus in Moline, IL.
