Position Summary:
South Seattle College is recruiting to fill a full time Program Assistant position in the Instructional Support Services department.

This position will provide office support for the division, administrative support for the dean, and frontline support at the services desks.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide general office support for the library, eLearning, and the Teaching and Learning Center with a focus on payroll and purchasing
  • Assist the dean in developing and monitoring program budgets
  • Respond to or refer as appropriate phone and email inquiries related to activities of the division from students, faculty, staff, and vendors
  • Provide frontline service as needed
  • Establish and maintain records and files
  • Prepare forms for and monitor all additions and changes to the payroll
  • Prepare forms for and monitor all purchases
  • Monitor FMS and SMS for all program areas
  • Monitor, post, and reconcile all credit card purchases
  • Maintain records of credit card purchases and equipment inventory for internal audits
  • Prepare all charges and credits for credit card purchases made from other budgets
  • Prepare travel paperwork as needed
  • Maintain and monitor supply inventories


Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
High school graduation or equivalent and two years of full-time clerical experience.
