Responsibilities*
Michigan Medicine Canton Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist who specializes in the treatment of patients with pelvic floor conditions. This position is located in our Canton Health Center, serving the Canton community and neighboring cities. We are looking for someone with excellent people skills and significant experience in working with pelvic floor conditions.This position is a contingent/PRN position.

Required Qualifications*
  • Master's or Doctorate Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program and Clinical internship is necessary
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan
  • Candidates must have advanced specialty practice in the evaluation and treatment of all pelvic floor diagnoses for men and women including bowel dysfunction as well as some orthopedic and spine patients. A minimum of 2 years' experience is required.
  • Ability to bend and lift adult patients to provide assistance with transfer training and mobility skills
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner to meet established deadlines

Work Schedule
This is a contingent position with hours based on access needs as well as the needs of our facility and our existing pelvic floor physical therapy team. This position will most likely include afternoon/evening hours. Our hours are 7:00AM-7:00PM Mon-Thurs and 7:00AM - 5:00PM Fridays.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
