Responsibilities

Teach thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and/or thermo-fluid experimentation courses in Mechanical Engineering.
Teach fundamental engineering courses.
Conduct and maintain laboratory and experiments for thermos-fluids.
Engage students with classroom design projects.
Participate in departmental/college activities including teacher training.

*The position may be extended for a second year based on performance and budget availability.

Required Qualifications

B.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. (ABD candidates will be considered. Degree must be conferred on an official transcript and received in HR by August 20, 2018.)

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability in teaching and/or practical experience in mechanical engineering related to the thermo-fluids disciplines.
Experience in laboratory teaching and development.
Ability to teach fundamental engineering courses and provide coverage of courses in an additional mechanical engineering specialty area.
Ability to work collegially with faculty/staff, administrators, and students.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
